About us

Tech Zero is the group for tech companies committed to climate action.

Our mission is to get the tech industry to net zero as soon as possible.
We do this by making it easier for tech companies to understand, commit to, and reach net zero.

Tech Zero was started in the UK by Tech Nation and a group of leading tech companies, including Allplants, Babylon, Citymapper, Faculty, GoCardless, Hopin, Habito, Money Supermarket, OLIO, Revolut, what3words, and Wise. We thought that by working together, we could make faster progress to net zero. Now, we want companies of all sizes from around the world to join us by making the Tech Zero commitments and taking action to reduce their emissions. 

Tech Zero became an official partner to the UN Race to Zero in 2021, the global campaign to rally leadership and support from businesses, investors, cities, regions, and countries for a healthy, resilient, zero-carbon future. Partners go through a stringent application process, reviewed by a peer review group of climate experts.

The Tech Zero commitments closely align with the Race to Zero's '5Ps', which ask members to Pledge to reach net zero, Plan to reach net zero, Proceed to take action, Publish a net zero plan, and Persuade others to take climate action.
